Today started off with some breakfast at the Old West Candy Shop. It is multiple shops combined into one, I was also surprised to be heading to a candy shop. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, potatoes, and of course a cinnamon roll. Cinnamon rolls are always delicious but Augusta is still number one.

We went to the grocery store to resupply our food then headed back to the hotel to switch rooms to a bigger one. Look how cute it is!

Per usual, Journey and I laid out our food to get organized for the next 5 days. Can you tell whose side is whose? 😁

We walked to the local RV park to do laundry and had a bit of a hassle locating the man who could give us a ticket and quarters to use the machines.
While waiting to get laundry done we met Lumberjack who had just got in and then saw Karma and Akela. We decided to hang around them for a couple hours while we waited to get laundry done.
It was enjoyable to relax and chat with people since we spent the majority of the past four days by ourselves. Unfortunately it was still in the 90s today so after laundry we headed back to our hotel for some AC and relaxing.
The day went by incredibly fast and I’m hoping my new heel blister feels okay hiking out tomorrow.
We headed to the grocery store for dinner with Karma and Akela since it was so much cheaper than any restaurant in town.
We took food back to the campground and met another hiker named Raspberry. Us 6 sat around and enjoyed dinner and each others company. It was also Karma’s birthday today which was fun to celebrate with some apple pie they shared. Fun fact, Journey and I are the only Americans in the group! Akela and Karma are from Belgium. Lumberjack from Germany and Raspberry from Switzerland.

Today was a hot but good zero day. I’m happy we decided to get in last night so that we could have more time in town today.
So thankful to be in AC tonight before heading out into the heat for 5 days!
