We woke up this morning to a chilly air and beautiful sunrise. The birds and nearby highway had us waking up earlier than expected but I was glad to get these views.

We laid in our tent for a while and around 7:30 got up and made an oatmeal/coffee breakfast that we had leftover.

After a while Jen came around and asked if us three wanted a ride to the Mustang Inn that we are staying the night at and we all said yes. No one wants to walk much on a zero day, not even a mile down the road.
We got dropped off at probably the nicest place in town. Leadore feels like the smallest town we have been in with a population of 106! So tiny.

The Inn had a hostel and also private rooms and they are so cute!

The host is incredibly nice and did our laundry free of charge. His family moved here a couple years ago as a big change to their lives.
Journey and I both decided to get rid of more cold weather gear to help make our packs even lighter. We went to the post office and then we headed to the local grocery store. I’m wearing my rain gear while we wash clothes. 😅

The store had a little room off to the side that they claimed is for thru hikers and it had most of the things we needed which I thought was nice.

However, small town, the prices were outrageous! I spent about $160 on a food resupply of 4 days. By far my most expensive resupply since being on this trip.
We came back to the Inn and ate and chilled out. It was nice to get to spend so much time with Gator. I had again wished she was going SOBO but knew she needed to do her thing.

She headed out around 6 PM and we all wished her well and to let us know when she reached the border.

Journey and I had dinner at the local restaurant and had a chicken sandwich and huckleberry smoothie which was delicious!

When we get into town I feel like we constantly eat all day. It’s nice to finally feel full!
We came back to the Inn and called family for a while. I always feel rejuvenated when I call family. It’s so good to see them virtually and catch up.
A good zero day.
