This will be a short one as I spent most of my time in Bend relaxing!
I woke up Wednesday and finished out some town chores. I also went and got a calf sleeve since I started getting some shin splints towards the end of our heavy mileage days.
We then went to a grocery store for food and were able to be back in our hotel by noon.
I spent the rest of the day lounging around, doing yoga, and eating a ridiculous amount of food.
In the afternoon Planner and Conrad made it in as well. Reunited again and for the rest of the trip! We all went out to dinner with Babs and her father.
It was a cute little Mexican restaurant that I failed to take a picture of but it was delicious and the margaritas were even better.
So much so that we ended up staying at the restaurant till late drinking way too many. It was a fantastic night with many laughs. 🤗
Thursday we woke up and headed to Black Bear Diner the same one we went to in Shasta. Their pancakes are some of my favorite on trail, I just couldn’t get enough of them.
Then I once again spent most of my time resting in the hotel and doing yoga to stretch out.
In the evening, Journey’s son, Sam from South Lake Tahoe, had stopped by on his way to Washington.
All of us went out to dinner at one of the many breweries in Bend.
We kept the evening relatively short since we are getting back out tomorrow.
It’s been a solid double zero! I’m almost antsy to get back out and start hiking.
