Yesterday was my dear big bros last day of hiking with me.
It has been an absolute, absolute blast. Difficult, fun, laughs, silliness, it all has been more than I could of asked for.
David, as I have said before, shows me what grit and determination really mean. I always think I push myself hard but he shows me that I can do EVEN more than I think. I mean I got my ass up and hiked in the bitter cold, I sure didn’t think I could do that. 😂
He is stronger than anyone I have ever met.. Physically and mentally he is unbeatable.
I couldn’t of asked for a better person to get me started on this journey. It truly is bittersweet to see him leave. But at least I got ten days! That’s the only way I can look at it.
Yesterday we finished with a 17 mile hike and got to the NOC like we wanted! We instantly got my resupply box (which was the best thing ever) and put our bags in our hotel and headed down for food..
I had an extremely happy belly. 😁
We spent the evening relaxing and getting his shuttle plans figured out.. A huge thanks to Jon for helping with these plans too.
I decided that I am going to take a much needed zero day today and stay at the hostel. (This place is beautiful) I’ve acquired some big blisters on my pinky toes and hoping a day off will do some good.
Ozzy and I will hit the trails tomorrow!
Bittersweet Farewell brother. Much love to you and a huge thanks for starting this adventure with me. ❤️

We have decided to read from your adventure/blog each night at supper. We are up to day three.
I shall think of your feet as having tiny wings, like the mythical god Mercury is sometimes depicted.
Push on, Mercury!
